Noosa activities for kids

Having 4 kids, I’m always looking for fun things for them to do around the local area. While there is plenty to do outdoor, nature wise, like bush walking, swimming, and standup paddle boarding, there are also some great structure activities available. Below are some of my favourites:

Peggy Panda music class

Peggy Panda is a parent & child music based class. Held at the Noosa leisure centre & also Peregian, it has quite a following of local little ones. Peggy mixes up the classes each week, changing the style of music & instruments. There is a family price available if you have more than one child. You don’t need to sign in for a full term, drop in any time, just message Peggy the day before to secure your spot. Peggy Panda music class

Gym Teds Gymnastics

Gym Teds is a Noosa based beginners gymnastics program for children 5 years old and under. Not only will your kids develop their motor skills, its a great place for them to make little friends. The classes are run by an accredited GA coach with blue card and first aid. Gym Teds Gymnastics

Outrigger canoeing

Not only is outriggers great for fitness & strength, the kids absolutely love being out on the water! The youngest age group “minnows” is from 8 years. Kids can join any time of the year, and the fees are incredibly affordable! This is my favourite activity for my children as I love just sitting by the river waiting for them to complete their hour class. What can be more relaxing that sitting by the Noosa River ? Golf

Noosa Springs golf academy runs golf clinics for kids of all ages and all levels of experience. They also offer private golf lessons for children and supply the require golf clubs for the initial lessons. Golf is great for developing confidence, self control & patience. Because golf is an individual sport, its a gentle entry point to the competitive nature of sport. The up side for parents is there is a lovely cafe at the golf course where you can get a coffee while waiting for lessons to finish. Noosa Springs Golf Academy

Horseriding

Noosa Horse riding offers group and 1-2-1 lesson from children from 8 and above. Their instructors are great with children, and they have a range of horses suitable for all different skill levels. You can buy lessons individually or in packs of 10. Its an amazing place on Lake Weyba, a short 10 minute drive from Noosa. Its also a nice family family activity to do with your child on the weekend, even if you do don’t regular lessons. Noosa Horseriding Lessons
