Noosa photoshoot hair & makeup

When you book in for any of my photoshoots, you will notice that I recommend getting professional hair & makeup done. Whether you are having a family, newborn, or maternity photoshoot, professional hair and makeup can make a huge difference to the final images. Makeup can help to accentuate features, contouring the face. Lipstick & eye shadow colours can complement and emphasize the colours in your clothing. Makeup also helps to remove any shiny spots, particularly on oily skin which otherwise could be highlighted in a photograph. Hairstyling helps to emphasis the overall mood of the shoot. For example, a precise up-do for a more formal style, or loose plaits for something more casual. Professional hairstyling also helps to lessen the number of flyaway hairs, that while not so obvious in everyday life can often show up very noticeably in photographs. Its important to work with good makeup artists who use quality products, and have great attention to detail.

Two local hair & makeup artist I highly recommend and which I use for my Sunshine Coast photoshoots are:

Makeup Artistry by Lauren

If you are looking for a mobile makeup service, Lauren travels all of the Sunshine Coast area for all sorts of events, from formals to weddings. Lauren loves the creativity of her job, and prides herself on exceeding expectations. She is reliable, highly experienced and comes highly recommended.

Evoque Makeup

Evoque Makeup are a mobile service, providing hair & makeup for Sunshine Coast photoshoots, events & weddings. Ella from Evoque has had a lifelong interest and passion in makeup and hairstyling. Her aim is to make every person she works with feel beautiful – and she certainly does!

Silk Hair & Makeup:

Silk Hair & Makeup have a studio in Quamby Place, Noosa Heads, which is not far from Noosa main beach. While they do work from studio, they have also joined me on location to change a hairstyle halfway through a Noosa photoshoot to give them image gallery two different looks. They’ve even brought their makeup chair down onto the beach to do makeup touch ups there! Vicki from Silk Hair & Makeup has had training from Napoleon Perdis and was one of the first graduates from the Napoleon Perdis Markup Academy. Vicki has an exceptional eye for detail, especially making sure hair, makeup and styling all complement each other.

You may not consider a makeup artist and hair stylist for a baby photoshoot, but I’ve found new mums, often quite exhausted love to be pampered for their newborn photoshoot so they have a lovely photo with their newborn. One of my fellow photographers who also appreciates the value that hair & makeup artists add to photography sessions is newborn photographer Louise Ferguson from the UK. Check out her page for some examples of her work here >>Haywards Heath Baby Photoshoot
