One thing I love as a Sunshine Coast family photographer is being able to capture families on holidays in Noosa, enjoying the stunning natural beauty this location has to offer. There are so many amazing locations for photoshoots I sometimes find it hard to choose!
The H family was visiting from Victoria for the Noosa triathlon and had requested a photoshoot at hidden grove in Noosa. I was super excited for this shoot, as its was a combined family ( with twins! ) & maternity/pregnancy photoshoot. There is always something special about the relationship with twins that intrigues me so much. I guess those of us who are not a twin can never fully grasp the bond that twins will have. There is also something special about a family photoshoot when the mum is pregnant. The whole family is anticipating the new arrival.
Mum, J, had her hair and makeup done ( this service is always included in my family & maternity photoshoots ). She looked radiant. It is amazing how much a bit of pampering can lift your energy levels! We headed out to Hidden Grove. On the way we realised it was just going to be too windy to do the photoshoot there. But not to despair. There are so many options in Noosa for weather protected sites.
Firstly we did some maternity photos in the greenery around the river mouth. The flora is so beautiful in this area. There are huge old gums, and flowery yellow wattles. The shady trees provide a perfect spot to get some maternity photos in soft light.
After we finished the pregnancy photography we met up with dad and the twins. Sometimes it can be a little difficult to get youngsters to participate in a sunset photoshoot. They can be either hungry, tired, or both. But these two were awesome! They absolutely loved playing by the waters edge, running up and down the beach. This was a great opportunity to get some candid shots. In the meanwhile I posed mum and dad for some couple shots. I love to get couple shots during family session. Many couples say its the first time they’ve had a proper photograph together since their wedding!
